Ski touring with Berg Gesund
Okay, mountain enthusiasts, you want more? You’ve got more! Our partner Berg Gesund takes you on fantastic ski tours, for example, on the Penkkopf, the Kreuzeck or the Karkogel. Try-out ski tours and snowshoe hikes are also part of the winter programme. All tours are free for you as our guests! You only pay, for example, for equipment hire, transfer costs or cable car rides.
A little bit of comfort doesn’t hurt, does it?

Cross-country skiing in Grossarl
You glide along 25 km of cross-country ski trails in a trance - on a classic trail or a skating track. If you want to get a feel for this sport first, the 2.5 km long circular trail in town is just the thing. We send advanced skiers to the 16 km-long Grossarl trail or the 13 km-long Hüttschlag trail. And for those who want an evening workout, there is night cross-country skiing several times a week on floodlit trails in both Grossarl and Hüttschlag.
Grossarl winter wonderland
And then there are fun activities like curling, horse-drawn sleigh rides and tobogganing. Grossarl has so much going for it that it has become a lively place with culture and traditions and real people who live and work here all year round. Oh, we almost forgot to mention the Christmas market. We call it the Salzburg Mountain Advent. In our Christmas post office, people little and large write letters to Father Christmas asking for presents...
